Le projet consiste en 2 bâtiments se trouvant sur deux parcelles distinctes qui font partie d’un lotissement, à cheval sur les communes de Boitsfort et d’Ixelles. Le bâtiment rue des Merisiers est parallèle à la voirie. L’accès se fait un demi-niveau plus bas que la voirie. Le bâtiment avenue des Cèpes est quant à lui perpendiculaire à la voirie et son accès se fait suivant le même principe.
The project consists of two buildings located on two distinct plots, which are part of the same housing estate, straddling the communes of Boitsfort and Ixelles. The building on Rue des Merisiers is parallel to the road. The entrance is half a level lower than the road. The building on Avenue des Cèpes, instead, is perpendicular to the road and its entrance is also below ground.
Het project bestaat uit de nieuwbouw van 2 gebouwen die zich op twee verschillende percelen bevinden, welke deel uitmaken van een verkaveling die tegelijk gelegen is in de gemeenten Watermaal-Bosvoorde en Elsene. Het gebouw in de Kriekenbomenstraat is evenwijdig met de weg ingeplant. De toegang ligt een half niveau lager dan de straat. Het gebouw in de Eekhoorntjesbrodenlaan staat dan weer haaks op de weg maar de toegang gebeurt volgens hetzelfde principe.
Les deux immeubles ont été dessinés dans un style contemporain. Leur typologie découle notamment des paramètres à intégrer pour une construction durable et répond aux standards actuels de performance énergétique, mais conserve toutefois une expression très sobre et sans effets superflus, de manière à rester discret et à s’intégrer parfaitement dans l’environnement végétal et naturel du site. Les séjours sont tous orientés vers le sud et les chambres disposées vers le nord. De vastes baies apportent un éclairage naturel important à chaque appartement et assurent un lien privilégié entre les aménagements paysagers extérieurs et tous les espaces de vie. Les châssis coulissants assureront un confort d’accès vers les terrasses extérieures. Un triple vitrage est prévu pour toutes les baies, il apportera un confort thermique et acoustique d’exception. Quelques bacs à plantes intégrés aux terrasses, également recouverts de pierre naturelle animent les façades tout en proposant des délimitations subtiles entre les appartements. Les aménagements des abords ont également été étudiés dans l’esprit et le respect des prescriptions littérales du permis de lotir, assurant le maintien des végétations de qualité existantes et privilégiant les essences indigènes pour les nouvelles plantations.
The two buildings have been designed in a contemporary style. Their design comes as a result of the parameters required to provide a sustainable construction which meets the current standards of energy performance, as well as preserving an elegant appearance without resulting superfluous. This feature allows the building to remain discrete and perfectly integrate into the natural environment and site. The living rooms are oriented towards south and the bedrooms towards north. Large windows let a great amount of natural light reach each apartment, creating a connection between the outdoors and living area. The sliding doors make the outdoor terraces easily accessible. All windows are triple glazed, this provides exceptional thermal and acoustic comfort. Several plant pots on the terraces, covered with natural stone, animate the facade while offering subtle boundaries between the apartments. The development of the surrounding area has been studied respecting the planning permission, ensuring that the existing vegetation is maintained and giving priority to the indigenous species over any new planting.
Beide gebouwen werden ontworpen in een hedendaagse stijl. Hun vormgeving vloeit voort uit het inbouwen van de voorwaarden voor duurzaam bouwen en beantwoordt aan de huidige energieprestatieregelgeving. Niettemin behouden de gebouwen een sobere uitdrukking zonder overdadig vertoon, zodat ze discreet blijven en zich perfect inpassen in de groene omgeving van de site. Alle leefruimtes zijn op het zuiden georiënteerd, alle slaapkamers op het noorden. Brede raamopeningen leveren in elk appartement de nodige natuurlijke lichtinval en zorgen in alle leefruimtes ook voor een sterke relatie met de landschappelijke buitenaanleg. Schuiframen vergemakkelijken de toegang tot de buitenterrassen. Alle ramen zijn uitgerust met driedubbel glas dat voor een buitengewoon thermisch en akoestisch comfort zorgt. Op de terrassen in natuursteen zijn enkele plantenbakken ingewerkt die de gevels opfleuren en tegelijk zorgen voor een subtiele afscheiding tussen de appartementen. De aanleg van de directe buitenomgeving werd uitgevoerd met eerbied voor de geest en de letter van de verkavelingsvoorschriften : de bestaande kwaliteitsvolle beplanting werd behouden en voor de nieuwe beplanting werd voorrang gegeven aan inheemse soorten.
