BW03

This holiday home is located on the border of the Netherlands, in the Zeeland polder landscape, known for its long views and rich nature.

The house is divided into two volumes, planned at right angles to each other.

The main volume extends over 48 meters, with its day and night parts. The shorter volume functions as a storage and relaxation area.

The swimming pool serves as a connection between the two volumes. In every room you can enjoy views of the polder landscape.

This aspect is accentuated by the distance to the public road, so nature flows around the house and a "stand alone" is created.

This way, the holiday feeling is fully fulfilled. The structure of the house is made of CLT (Cross Laminated Timber), so that all construction processes follow each other in close succession.

The entire outer shell of the house was clad with thermal wood - stained black. ‍

The sequence of vertical wooden slats breaks through the long volumes and creates one architectural whole.‍
